How Does A Volcano Erupt { W12T2 }


Task Description:
This term we focused on either a eruption of a volcano or present a water cycle. I have choosen to show how a volcano erupts. The first few slides is a introduction slide. I have also shown how moutains are formed my continental crust and I have also shown how magma travelles to reach above the ground. ENJOY!

Cyber Bullying Pt 2 { W12T2 }


Task Description:

Task Description:

Matariki Art ! { W11T2 }


Task Description:
Kia Ora! This week is Matariki! During Matariki we celebrate new growth and we celebrate that start of a new year. At Pt England School we get too celebrate this special day. Each student gets to choose one subject to focus on throughout the whole day. The four subjects are cooking, art/craft, sports and movie making. As for myself i've been placed into arts and crafts. Each class in my school has different activites they will be doing. As for my class we focused on making Matariki glaxies. With my art i've choosen to do a pink, blue and white fading art. I've also included the seven stars and few space crafts. My highlight from this special day was learning how to learn to work with pastels and learning how to make them fade. After creating our art on paper we created a digital version. I've added a quote to represent the start of Matariki and to give strength to others. What did you do for Matariki?

Task Description:
This week we are focusing on equal fractions. This task was given by other teachers who are training for teacherhood. This task was so hard to complete. I found it difficult to understand proportions and understand questions. But the task overall was explained well. ENJOY!

Task Description:
Parents interviews are coming very soon and it's important to decorate our classroom. One decoration we've been focusing on is creating a collage. With this task i'm sharing I have created a collage with everything i'm grateful for. I've used family photos, culture photos, patterns, food photos and nature photos. ENJOY! Walt: To dive deeper into a protest.
Task Description:
This week our learning intention for task two is to dive deeper into a protests. My protests I have choosen is the womens suffrage. Within this task I have choosen to doa chracter study. I have also done a static image. I really enjoyed this diver deeper task as I got to opportunity to learn about new protests. 

Stand up x Protests! { W11T2 }

Walt: To complete multiple task for protests.
Task Description:
Our learning intention for our first text was to break down and understand multiple protests. Within this task I have completed three tasks. The first task I have completed is the vocabulary task. This task I focused on four key words from the text. I have also completed the comparing task and the comprehension task. The comparing task we focused on using a venn diagram. This venn diagram we had to compare the differences between two different protests and find the similarities. As for the comprehension task I had to answer five easy and quick questions. ENJOY!

The Biosphere { W10T2 }

Walt: Focus on Biosphere layer.
Task Description:
This week for our inquiry learning intention we focused on the biosphere layer. Within this task we had to understand what the biosphere layer is. We also had to understand what a biome is. For our final task we had to write about one biome and what animals live within the biome and how they survive. I focused on the marine life. I have also presented a google poster! ENJOY!

Blog Commenting x Choose It Writing!

Task Description:
This week for writing we got the opportunity to do a choose it piece of writing. For one choice we got to write five comments to a friends blog. I have chosen to comment on a few friends blog posts. I really liked blog commenting because I got to explore my friends post and see how their learning has been during level 1. Exploring their blogs really inspired me to be more creative with my own posts.  

Reading Scales x Explaining Different Measurements {W10T2}

Task Description:
Our learning intention was to explain three different measuring instruments. Each measuring unit had to have measurement number beside it. We also had to add a explanation on what each measure does and what they are used for. I've also included a bubble word to explain what each part does. Hopefully this task can teach you or other younger tamariki.

Reading Scales & Thermometers {W10T2}

Walt: Being able to read multiple scales, timetables and thermometers. 
Task Description:
This week we focused on reading scales, timetables and thermometers. Within our mid-year maths test our results where a bit -eh. So we have mainly focusing on topics that many of us failed in. One main topic that Mrs Ilaoa decided to focus on was scales and timetables. Within our maths task we had multiple questions about a timetable given and we also read scales. On the very last slide i've presented a poster explaining what a thermometer is, what a scale is and what a measuring cup is. ENJOY!

Reading Scales x Quiz! { W10T2 }


Task Description:
Today we had a turn at a online reading scale test. This test had shown which level we are siting at for scales. Within this quiz was six levels. ( we are expected to be at level 3. ) Here I have shown two completed levels. ( Level 1 & 2 ) and I tried to complete level 3. I have also included a image of two trophies i've received from the quiz. From this quick quiz I have learned simple measurements that is helpful for understand scales.

Matariki x The Story Of Matariki { W10T2 }

Walt: Synthesise information from a range of texts.
Task Description:
Our learning intention for this week was to focus on our Matariki celebration. Within this presentation we had to focus on multiple texts explaining what Matariki is. We also had questions based from each text that we had to answer. Also on the last slide i've shared a Matariki poster for our younger tamariki to understand  basic facts about it. ENJOY!

Task Description:
Our learning intention for our create task has focused on Matariki. Within this task i'm sharing I have focused on sharing a simple looking poster to present to younger tamariki what we do for Matariki and what Matariki is. The three boxes explain what we do to celebrate, who are the seven sisters and what Matariki marks. Below celebration I have also explained four easy to remember facts.

Friday 12 of January, Mr Burt was acknowledged about his New Zealand Order of Merit award. Within this special occasion we celebrated by presenting a speech by Pisirina, two prayers by Aj and Freedom and two himene were included as well. The excitement reached the roof throughout the ceremony. Now Mr Burt and Pt England have been recognised from the queen and Mr Burt has been acknowledged for all his work for primary schools especially Pt England School.


Mr Burt has served our community very well. All the work he’s put into everyone will always be acknowledged to the past students at our schools and more yet to come. Thank you to Mr Burt and Mrs Burt for putting so much effort into my special school.

Decimal Word Problems x { W9T2 }

Walt: To understand decimal word problems.
Task Description:
This week for a early finishers task we focused on decimal word problems. Within our task we had many decimal problems to solve. Throughout this task I learned to round up a decimal to make the problem much easier than subtract the additional decimal points to get a correct answer. I have enjoyed this week's early finishers task because I got to understand and learn how to solve these problems correctly and let's hope my answers are correct too. ENJOY! 

Narrative Prepare! { W9T2 }

Walt: Plan and prepare for narrative test.
Task Description:
This week's learning intention for writing has been focusing on the key points of how to write a narrative. The concept of this post was for us to understand how to structure and write a narrative story for a following test. Within this presentation i'm sharing key facts or information that will help me any time when writing a narrative story. I have enjoyed this task due to me learning new facts of how to write correctly. I have also added a link to view my " not so finished " writing piece. ( I had a reading test at the time. ) ENJOY!

Wild Boy { W9T2 }

Walt: Use prior knowledge along with information in the text to interpret abstract ideas and themes.
Task Description:
Our learning intention for week nine has been to focus on using our knowledge to complete the task given. Within our task i'm sharing this week. We have been focusing on " Wild Boy " a famous guy who traveled the west coastline of New Zealand. With our task we got given a text and video. With both resources we had to fill and complete a few questions within our presentation! We also got the opportunity to create a inspiring video providing helpful key words to share with those struggling with school, sports or ect. With this presentation I really enjoyed learning about another person struggling with ADHD but continues to strive and do what he wishes to do or still complete their goals and aspirations. As a young fellow kid I really look up to those who special needs who are working hard at completing their goals.

Peace x Creative Time { W9T2 }

Task Description:
Today's inquiry task we focused on creating a word bubble around the word peace. For today's task on a orange paper in a large font we wrote " peace. " surrounding the word we drawed or wrote things that are peaceful towards us or that makes us feel free. I enjoyed today's task because I got to design my own paper with things that make me happy. Air Pollution { W8T2 }

Walt: Focus on air pollution.
Task Description:
For our inquiry this week we focused on air pollution. For our task we had to write down a detailed explanation of how are air pollution is caused and what air pollution is. As for a extra task we had to focus on one country and give a explanation of what air pollution has done to their country, the effects, and ways their trying to improve their country. Samoan Independence Day!

Walt: Learn and understand about Samoan Independence day.
Task Description:
This week we have been focusing on Samoan Independence day work. Our task this week was to complete all the activities given within this presentation. To understand what Samoan independence day is we got given a video giving a full explanation on facts about this special day and what our ancestors did to keep their country alive. I enjoyed this week's work because I got to understand and learn about a different culture and how their ancestors worked so hard to be where they are now.

Mata I Pusi x Afakasi Chameleon { W8T2 }

Walt: Complete multiple tasks with two texts.
Task Description:
This week we have focused on Mata I pusi text and Afakasi Chameleon. Within this presentation there are multiple tasks. The first slide presents vocabulary, words from the Mata I pusi text. This slide we had to full in the meaning of each word and provid a sentence for a example. The second slide is a word cloud. My word cloud is full of words that's all about ME! As for the following slide I have completed a venn diagram. Differences and  similarties between myself and the main character in Mata I Pusi. As for my last slide I have done a poem. Within my poem given I have written down words about who I am, my parents, and my grandparents. Hopefully you enjoy this new task because I difinetly did! Enjoy!

Task Description:
Today for our Te Whare Tapa Wha challenge we focused on Taha Tinana. Within this task we had to pose in the tree position for a minute with and without or eyes close. ( Two minutes. Today Taha Challenge is the Taha Whanau challenge. Our goal for today's task was to share a video game, card game, physical game that we played during Level 4 lockdown.
