Who is she?

Idea 2:Willing to be patient.

Idea 3:
Sense of humor.

Title:
An admirable person

Introduction:
We all have someone we admire. Whether it be a family member, friend or a celebrity. They all have different reasons why we admire them, or maybe it’s their occupation which makes us look at them like superheroes! Who do you admire the most?

Information:
Idea 1:
Deloris Van Cartier who starred in Sister Act is my admirable person! This remarkable film was based around a well known singer who chose to make a new lifestyle. She taught a group of unbehaved students how to sing in a beautiful way although they had a bad attitude!

Idea 2:
Throughout Sister Act Deloris had patience for all her students. And with the patience she had for them they gained talent and all worked together. Without all the patience she had for her new class they would’ve been a dreadful choir class! But with her calmness and her students cooperating they had a successful competition!

Idea 3:
Willing to have a sense of humor towards your students wouldn’t make any conversations awkward and can bring the confidence out of anyone! With the humor Deloris had her students were never shy during their lessons together! Her humor was a blessing which always made her students smiling!

Conclusion:
Having someone to look up to, their advice can always lead us into a better future. Not just for ourselves but for future generations and that’s simply what Deloris Van Cartier exemplified to us all! Having patience and a sense of humor can be very good advice for those new ongoing teachers. Do you admire Deloris Van Cartier? Or do you admire someone else?

A Job For Me { W3T1 }

Walt: Identify and use features of EXPLANATION writing

A Job For Me

Introduction:
A job for me! What kind of job would you like to do? Some people build, serve, teach, are store keepers, or just live a normal life without a job! What career are you interested in?

Paragraph 1 & 2 - ( What inspired me? )Becoming a teacher has been one big dream for myself! All teachers at my school inspire me and show me that all though teaching may be a tough journey, you should never give up. Especially for any child's education! When becoming a teacher it’s never about money, money, money! The mana, the love for children and their education all comes with being a teacher!

One movie really inspires me not to give up the teaching career! An old lady or should I say a famous undercover celebrity, moves to a church school. She had one trouble-some class but she forced herself to never give up on them and teach them who they really are. In this movie there was one special message, the message was that although they might be bad, it’s their education that matters, you should never lose hope!

Paragraph 3: ( Reason )As a young child I always admired how the teachers worked. And as I started to grow up I finalized my future occupation, by becoming a middle school/ intermediate teacher! Becoming a teacher can change a child’s life, and make them who they will become in their future lives!

Paragraph 4: ( Future Plans! )As for future plans I definitely want to graduate college and hopefully get into a university through a scholarship! By completing both I can be a successful teacher to schools who need the most help! And then my dream will finally come true!

Conclusion( One tough job for myself is the conclusion. So I didn’t get around to completing it! )

About Anzac Day!

Title:New Zealand Celebrations - Anzac Day

Introduction -Anzac Day is a special honouring day, where majority of New Zealand Citizens take a moment of silence every April the 25th. Do you celebrate Anzac day? If so, how do you celebrate Anzac day?!

Paragraph 1 - ( The Anzacs )
The word Anzac. Anzac is an acronym for Australia and New Zealand Army Corps. It’s also a part of both New Zealand and Australia’s culture. Those from both countries talk about the “ spirit of Anzac “, which includes Anzac biscuits and the Anzac day test. The Anzac Day test, is both countries rugby or rugby league teams combined to compete for the Bill Kelly Memorial Trophy. This test usually lands on or near Anzac day.

Anzac day represents the landing of Australia’s and New Zealand’s Army Corp at Gallipoli, Turkey during World War 1 in 1915. This day we remember all New Zealanders who served their country in wars and conflicts.

Paragraph 2 - The red SymbolThe red poppy has become a symbol of war remembrance around the world. The red poppy had become successful the day before Anzac day in 1922. Red poppies had started to bloom after World War 1, located in the Flanders Fields, Belgium. These poppies are growing among the graves of war victims.

Paragraph 3 - CeremoniesTo honour our soldiers who fought hard for fairness for our countries, we have multiple ceremonies all over New Zealand and Australia to remember those who passed and those who still serve. At each ceremony there is a moment of silence, and it concludes with a prayer to remember them.

Conclusion -Anzac day is to remember them, to honour them, to appreciate who we are now. Without the red poppies there is no more to symbolize, and Anzac overall has such a special meaning and is celebrated in many different ways!x

Dear My Upcoming Teachers! { W1T1 }

Walt: Write for a specific purpose

Dear my upcoming teachers.

My full name is Leilani Pearl , Pearl being named after my mum’s close friend. I am two different cultures, Cook island and Maori, and enjoy expressing my culture in different ways. I am turning 13 this year on the 12th of November, and still is the youngest child of my family. I have a very beautiful family who supported me through all my decisions and helped me choose the correct pathways.

At home I love to watch movies or episodes on Netflix! But i’m always running around in the house cleaning up every minute!

At school I enjoy writing the most and creating fantasy stories or adventure stories for others is always fulling me with excitment. This year my goal is to learn more maths and be a year 9 stage of learning so i’m prepared for college. And for literacy I would like to look more into world pollution and figuring out ways to avoid and stop additional pollution.

I’m looking forward to 2020 being a productive year and me stepping up and showing how a leader is supposed to be.
