Immersion Assembly

Today I am sharing with you all Pt England School immersion assembly. At the beginning of every term Pt England School has a very important immersion assembly. What is a immersion assembly and what do you do at a immersion assembly? Well continue reading to find out more.

Firstly , at the beginning of our term 2 immersion assembly Mr Burt explained to us what our theme is , " Where in the latitude are you? ". What could latitude mean? Well latitude means the coordinate of the North and South position. Throughout our immersion assembly team 1 , 2 , 3 , and 4 all presented what they will be learning through out term 2. The time then came to team 5.

Secondly , team 5 teachers shared with the school a play. This play was a virtual travel agency. This play included Mrs Tapuke choosing different continents and other teachers dressed up based on what continent Mrs Tapuke choose. Places that Mrs Tapuke travelled to was Africa , Paris , and America. 

Lastly , in all of the continents Mrs Tapuke choose people came to her and explained to her about the continents shes in. For Africa Mrs IIaoa took Mrs Tapuke to explore the Tiger and Leopard , when Mrs Tapuke was in Paris Mrs Stone came in a France accent welcoming her to the Eiffel Tower , and the last place Mrs Tapuke travelled to was America. Which Mrs Moala came in a cute mickey mouse hat since shes a huge fan of  mickey mouses and their at Disney World. After Mrs Tapuke travelled to all the continents she travelled to the adventure stopped.

The whole purpose of the act that the teachers played today was to share with team five students and other students at Pt England School was about what time five students will be learning about in term 2. Team 5 students will be learning about where are we in longitude as well as looking at different continents and what latitude is that continents. This term immersion assembly was fun as each act or movie was interesting based on what that team will be doing. I am excited for all things we will be doing in term 2.

Attitude Talk With Jannah!

Today team five got the opportunity to get talked about friendship from a wonderful lady Jannah. Jannah comes from a company called attitude, this company has people who talk about different things to kids who are growing up and other important information about life.

Secondly, when Jannah came into team five there was a happiness feeling because Jannah has such a happy personality. Jannah talked to us about friendships. Different types of friendships , myths about friendships , things not to do in a friendship , and things to do in a friendship to keep a friendship with others.

Also, Jannah also mentioned funny jokes and activities here and there while she was presenting which was extremely interesting. Today I have learnt key facts that can help me throughout making new friends, as well things to do and not to do when making friends. I am super glad that Jannah came to teach us new things on how to make new friends.

Task Description:
In today's task team five students had to share what they did for a attitude talk we had with Jannah. Here I have shared with you all today what team five did with Jannah , what she had talked about and what I learnt and did I have fun? Our talk with Jannah was very fun because I learnt new things and I find Jannah very funny. 

Malaga Pasifika

Walt: To complete Malaga Pasifika.

Task Description:
Team five has been focusing on Ko Wai Au? Our task was to learn where we come from and our future. Here we all started learning about our journey and places we came from. Secondly, we learnt about three different times. Past , present , and future. 

As for past we watched a video where it explained what pasifika people did in the past to give us a good education. Past we had to learn where our name came from and what our family did to give us a good life.

For present we learnt more about our culture and where we come from. We learnt about what strengths and gifts of pacific people. We also got to create a shield where we listed our skills , qualities , values , and interest on a piece of paper. We also drew our dreams and aspirations as well as our top two jobs , the amount of pay we get , and useful subjects to get our future jobs we went.

Specking out the future we moved onto the future. For the future we started to talk about our future jobs , dreams , and aspirations. Our job was to use on interest we have a find useful jobs towards that one interest. I choose Kapa Haka since I am always interested in Kapa Haka. For future we also looked at what we want in the future and challenges we would face in the future that might stop us for success in our future jobs we do want. 

We also got to choose people who we wanted to be in our life's to help us during our future. I choose people who I thought are kidn and are always by my side.
