Prime Minister! { W1T4 }

β„™π•£π•šπ•žπ•– π•„π•šπ•Ÿπ•šπ•€π•₯𝕖𝕣!
Question:
“ What I would do on my first day as Prime Minister of NZ. “

Mhm, honestly I’ll want to focus on our homeless kings and queens. Start providing more shelter instead of unnecessary parking spots all over Aotearoa, understand their struggles and provide them with all they need. I’ve also found out, their not as lucky as those with houses, jobs, and a proper education. I want to fix that problem, give them access to education and give them chances to regain their strength, get a long lasting job so they can focus on their dreams and make them a successful future.

New Zealand is full of homeless people and it's important that we provide them and let them access the same opportunities we get. This is one of the situations I’ll fix when I become Prime Minister of New Zealand.

Using resources such as a video explaning how a famous man got the opportunity to sign for the whole of Aotearoa! Let's say, explanation writings aren't my best types, but this truly gave me a challenge to overcome. And I found that creating a well written planner can help you write smoothly and it flows really well! Take my advice reader, USE A PLANNER BEFORE WRITING! Saves time and gives you more knowledge of how to write such a master piece! Anyways... ENJOY!

Cross Country! { T3W9 }

11 of september 2020! A day we never liked… cross country! Everyone dressed in their house colours ( red, blue, green and yellow ) Tutus, lei’s, shirts ect. As for 2020, our course was much different than last year. Starting the bike track, through two large gates and onto our tracks.

The race:Two blocks together to start our race! I’m smart… I only jogged from the beginning so I wouldn’t be tired further on. Us girls ( year 8’s ) ran our whole soccer field ,i, only stopping a few times to catch a breath. In all honesty, cross country wasn’t as hard as I first thought! Maybe all of our preparations really prepared us for the actual day! Besides running, seeing everyone participate at my last cross country at Pt England School was a bit emotional! Good luck to everyone in the next coming years.

Persuasive Writing! { T3W3 }

β„™π•–π•£π•€π•¦π•’π•€π•šπ•§π•– π•Žπ•£π•šπ•₯π•šπ•Ÿπ•˜!
walt: write for a specific purpose.
Task Description!
This week we have been paying close attention to persuasive writings. Usually I write narratives as I prefer to write my own pieces in this form. But, my teacher instructed us to use a persuasive form to complete our writing task this week. To complete this task we had to use a planner before hand to come up with two types of stances. Either stance you choose we had to list five points before starting our writing. As I mentioned in the beginning of my description, it's easier to do a narrative form of writing so my hands of course had to make this persuasive writing just like a narrative! One of my challenges I came across was finding a way to start a persuasive, let's say I need to work on persuasive writings more often. ENJOY!

The Future! { W1T2 }

Walt: Craft well-written sentences.

{ Task Description: }

Welcome back everyone! Today i'm sharing my writing task I have so far completed. Due to New Zealand being on level four I now attend online classes with a few other class mates!

In today's writing presentation I've only shared a few tasks as we're completing our writing piece next week. As for this week we first looked at how well our sentences should be built to hook readings. Following that task we watched a video based upon predictions of the future. With that video we had the opportunity to write our thoughts about our future. Our first official task was dictation. Our teach simply read us a text written by who had big predictions for the future. Our task was to listen closely and re-write the text. We also got to find key phrases and write down our thoughts about this text. We also had to compare our text we wrote with the one our teacher re aloud!

What Makes A Good Leader!

Walt: Learn how to structure a explanation writing.
_____________________________________________

Introduction:Do you have the qualities of becoming a good leader? You might not even understand what a leader does overall! But with these following steps, you will become everyone's favourite!

Paragraph one: ( Understanding. )Having the ability to understand those who look up to you, shows them you can go far beyond the limit from understanding their perspective. Being able to understand others not only helps you with their point of view, but! To also show that your one good leader who others can rely on.

Paragraph two: ( Vision and purpose. )Vision and purpose is similar to understanding others. But with this quality others can express their thoughts to you and you would reply with something more helpful. Everything they’ve told you, you would always have a purpose on why they should continue to try their hardest to achieve their goals!

Paragraph three: ( Humility. ) Having humor doesn't make you only a good leader but creates multiple tight bonds with others! When communicating with teachers during school time I enjoy it when they have a sense of humor, so none of the conversations get awkward!

Conclusion:Did these three simple tips help you out? If so you would’ve gained three qualities. Vision and purpose, understanding others, and my favourite humility!

Explanation Writing! { W4T1 }

Steps:
1 - information
2 - Introduction
3 - conclusion

S:E:E
Statement
Explanation
Example

Ideas 1:
Who is she?

Idea 2:Willing to be patient.

Idea 3:
Sense of humor.

Title:
An admirable person

Introduction:
We all have someone we admire. Whether it be a family member, friend or a celebrity. They all have different reasons why we admire them, or maybe it’s their occupation which makes us look at them like superheroes! Who do you admire the most?

Information:
Idea 1:
Deloris Van Cartier who starred in Sister Act is my admirable person! This remarkable film was based around a well known singer who chose to make a new lifestyle. She taught a group of unbehaved students how to sing in a beautiful way although they had a bad attitude!

Idea 2:
Throughout Sister Act Deloris had patience for all her students. And with the patience she had for them they gained talent and all worked together. Without all the patience she had for her new class they would’ve been a dreadful choir class! But with her calmness and her students cooperating they had a successful competition!

Idea 3:
Willing to have a sense of humor towards your students wouldn’t make any conversations awkward and can bring the confidence out of anyone! With the humor Deloris had her students were never shy during their lessons together! Her humor was a blessing which always made her students smiling!

Conclusion:
Having someone to look up to, their advice can always lead us into a better future. Not just for ourselves but for future generations and that’s simply what Deloris Van Cartier exemplified to us all! Having patience and a sense of humor can be very good advice for those new ongoing teachers. Do you admire Deloris Van Cartier? Or do you admire someone else?
