Art Alive Expo!

Today we got the opportunity to explore all types of art around Pt England School. From tye dye  shirts, to pointalism, to cave art, to so many more! Exploring through classes full of art projects completed by year 1 to 8's. By far I've enjoyed seeing the creativity everyone put in their art projects to present. My top two favourites are, tye dye and cultural desgins.. With the tye dye project year three students got to create vibrant patterns with dye to create their own personal shirt. As for the cultural design art, they showed their art by using patterns and colour to show where their from. 

My overall experiance has been excellent, it turned out very well and having to finish my project on time was a bit stressfull! Glad to say my first art expo in many years turned out as a success. ENJOY!

This week for a quick task for reading, we got the opportunity to read a article from kiwi kids news. A website full of interesting articles. I've choosen to focus on the Mental Health Day which occurs on the 10th of October. By answering simple questions given from my teacher, I've took a better understanding about this event. ENJOY!

BEDMAS! { W7T4 }

Poetry - Cinquin! { W7T4 }

ℙ𝕠𝕖𝕥𝕣𝕪 - ℂ𝕚𝕟𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕟!

Task Description:

This week we focused on a type of poetry, cinquin! Cinquin is a type of poetry where you aim to write five lines each line goes in a 2,4,6,8,2 syllable form. My cinquin is based about moving into college for 2021. ENJOY!

Piet Mondrian! { W7T4 }

ℙ𝕚𝕖𝕥 𝕄𝕠𝕟𝕕𝕣𝕚𝕒𝕟!

Task Description:

Due to our theme being art based we've focused on a famous artist, Piet Mondrian. Within this task we've taken a close look at Piet Mondrian life, and taking close looks at his first paintings and how much skill he's made since the first time he's ever painted. I've also learned about the meaning behind a few of his paintings and in all honesty what inspires him to paint is really cool. ENJOY!

Edvard Munch { W6T4 }

 𝔼𝕕𝕧𝕒𝕣𝕕 𝕄𝕦𝕟𝕔𝕙!

Task Description:

We are learning different types of art from drawings to cryons to paintings. Today's art we focused on lines and pastels to create a similar looking art to the scream painted by " Edvard Munch. " I've learned to use different colours without blending them together, enjoy!

Decimal Fractions 2! { W6T4 }

𝔻𝕖𝕔𝕚𝕞𝕒𝕝 𝔽𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤 𝟚!

Task Description:

As a final task I've completed decimal fractions number 2! Within this task I've learned how to add and subtract decimals and fractions, number line, and knowing each place value. I'm now sitting at level 3, ( a year 7&8 level is expected to be at level 4. ) ENJOY!

As a following task set on specific levels we've completed fresh fractions. Within this task today we've done equivalent fractions, shading, and addition and subtraction fractions. My thoughts about level 2 of our maths this week was quite a challenge, the addition part honestly was a new topic that i've never done before. ENJOY!

This week our main focus is bedmas. A order of operation we used to solve multiple problems given. In all honesty I've enjoyed using this bedmas method, firstly because I've never done bedmas and learning new techniques is fun! ENJOY!

This week we've focused on the loss of biodiversity, we've payed close attention to the main causes and main effects that climate change, plastic pollution, pollution, over hunting ect cause. With this weeks task i've learned way more about the loss of biodiversity and I now understand that I'll need to be careful with the things I use in my everyday life as it can harm our animals, creatures and insects!

As a warm up activity we've completed a alphabet multiplication. This task was to spell out the given words which has been connected with numbers to find the answer to each word. In all honesty this has to be my hardest task ever. ENJOY!

For a early finishes task we've got given a mixture of word problems. Each slide got a 1,2 and 3 level going from the easiest to the hardest task. Each slide our job was to complete atleast one question given, with a shown of what operation we used and how we worked it out. ENJOY!
