Interview with a paleontologist

Going to the museum

Yesterday we went to the Auckland museum. Some helpful parents helped and all of the year 3 went on the bus it was lound. We look at the fossils and dinosaurs also some cultural items some of them has dark colours. We went there because mr Blakey wanted us to experience the museum. When we got there I got so excited that i couldn't stop smiling.

When we got there I saw 3 amazing things. My first amazing item was the minecraft. There were some goggles they were black. You had to sit down on a black cub. On there was bottoms that's you use to move up and down. It was like a minecraft world it had a lot of dark color Cubes.  My next favourite item was the wake. It had some beautiful Maori carving. The people that made it tried there best. My second favourite item was the Maori carving. There was some people doing more carving. I think they do it for 3 weeks. Their hands must get sore.

I really enjoy the day because I saw some amazing item. I really want to go next year with my next class.

Predator x

This dinosaur is cloud the predator. The predator x was the strongest sea carnivore which lived millions and millons of years ago. They can move 50 or25 metres a second fast. They also,had a big body so it will swim in the water. The predator x has sharp teeth like a shark. Also when. Fish is swimming and an other sea animal what's to eat it. The predator x has light fins because it needs to swim fast. 

Diplodocus

Diplodocus was the longest herbivore that lived millions of years ago. It was the biggest herbivore on earth.

A diplodocus was an amazing animal. A diplodocus has long neck because it needs to see over the trees. A diplodocus doesn't have sharp teeth because they are able to eat leaves. Also a diplodocus has short legs. At the front of the leg there is one sharp claw at the top. That's there because it can fight other dinosaur.  The tail is long because it fights its enemies so that they don't hurt its family. It's also has small eyes.

Today it was fun writing all about dinosaur. 

My holiday

On the holidays we went to the movies in the city we wanted born to dance it was amazing also I saw Paris goble they are all good dancer me and my dad had ice cream my dad had hokey pokey and I had cookies and cream all of us had drink my mum had pizza I didn't like that also my sister had pizza she had macaroni pizza we also got two cups of popcorn after that we want to tenpin bowling we had number 5 it didn't work properly then we had pizza I didn't like it then that's want I did in my holiday. 

No navy band

Yesterday after Morningtea we went in the hall your whole school went to see a item. We were watching a navy band they were peforming some items.

When it being we were introduced to a speech.  after that it started

First there was classic song It was beautiful.  next was Katy perry roar the people that come said Hess this song and all of us no the song. They said agina to gee this song it was uptown funk you up. Then they said now it s time for movies.  first movie was spongebob share pants. They mad  a spongebob photo out of carbon. Next I love was Star Wars they were fighting then he saw he's friend. Then they bothhugged. Next one was peonies there was a do a taking the case. My next favririte one was the water gun they had some water in it I don't no want the

Move was. There was intramint the one I want to play is this long brown long.  There was more interment. There was a electrical guitarn that was cool also there was trombone and a tuba and a flute one more thing was a clarinet.

I think that they have allot of talent. They are amazing. I  learn about the band that they inspired me to learn to play the the long brown drum. it sounds cool. 

The egg and spoon race

In the morning we went outside. The watcher was a little bit cold and a little bit worm at the same time  we went to play egg and spoon I was feeling excited when we were playing it was interesting.mr Blakey play it when he was little.

Room 14 was split in two group of 7.  so that means there are 3 people in each groups .When we were racing we needing to balance I was nervous and I was confident . We had one  spoon each and a ball we pretended that the ball was a egg.  some of the boys and girls was holding the ball with two hands.  but yours supposed to put one hand behind your back and the other hand holds the spoon.  at the end I think that all of us win. We had to walk slowly.

I like the game but I recommend a real egg. I think people should take there time because you don't have to win all the time. I would do that  again because it will make me know how to practise better with a real eggs.

Being a fire fighter

A fire fighter needs to be brave, courageous and always will look after others. When they want to be a fire fighter they need to do a test. You need to be blindfolded and you hold a rope then you you go in tunnels and do all of the levels. It's really hot in there. They get all of the tools. They help other people to stay safe. It's not easy to be a fire fighter.

To be a good pilot you need to think carefully and make good decisions and always keep the safety of others in mind. You need to always focus and make sure that you keep other people safe. Also you need to know how to use all the tools. You always have to see when you are up in the sky. It is really scary when you are a pilot.

The 3 little pigs and little red riding hood

Once upon a time I ended up in a scary and cold forest. The forest had tall and scary trees. It was dark. It was stormy and there was hail all around the ground.

I saw a wise wizard. She was scary but there was shadows going side to side i nearly cried I  called out help please help me.

But then I saw the three little pigs having a fight and they were fighting over a blue berry pie. Then I saw little red riding hood saying stop but they wouldn't listen so she snatched the yummy blue berry pie and run all the way to her house and when she got there she gave it to her nana. They both ate the yummy blue berry pie they lived happily ever after.

Rainy Monday

On Monday its was a stormy day there was a lot of hail and birds were chirping loud then it started to spit rain from the sky and there was plants everywhere and the sky was all black and there was a flash of lightning. I was feeling  cold wet and scared I wish I was having fun with my family at my house because I don't get to spend time with my family and we can eat pizza and hot chocolate.

Holding our piece of bread, we crept onto the field to feed the gull. And we walk quietly there and back.

When we got there we took some parts of the bread and we threw the bread to the pigeons and they swoop down to the bread. We made a mountain fall of bread and they came to eat it.

Dear Awkward Guys,

Yesterday, I saw you having serious problems running down the road in your brand new running gear.  It looked like you were really in need of some help, so I decided to write to you to give you two tips.    

Firstly you should look straight ahead. if you don't then you will bump into the car and people.   

You have to bend your arms to make you more powerful. If you don't then you will be awkward.      

Secondly you should run on your tip toes so that you be good at running and you are going to win.

Mr Burt

Mr Burt is  our principal he is a responsible principal too. Also he wears shiny shoes and nice top. he looks strong and powerful. 

 

He's office is funtastic because it smell like the Rihanna perfume. And he has a lot of toys on his desk he has a printer and stickers also a comfortable chair which spins around like a tornado. 

Mr Burt takes care of the whole school and he shows the visitors our school because he is proud of his students. He goes to see if kids are in the zone. 

Morning Walk

When room 14 was walking I saw a kereru chirping in the tree. I also some fog on the beach there was a lot of fog which covered the beach there were tall and long shadows of tree.  

When we were walking we saw spider webs glistening in the morning sun I saw water droplets there were lots of water on the fence and the sun shine was on it and it glistened. 

Matariki

Matariki is the name of a group of stars that appear in the winter nights sky. It marks the beginning of the Maori new year which is a time for people to celebrate.

There are lots of different ways to celebrate matariki. You can set off fireworks to remember our family and friends. You can also share fairy tales and eat food with your friends and family and God.

The snail

Snails look slimy so they are not good to touch .They have a shell which is hard  and protects it.

They live in the shade because the sun is too hot for the snails .We can easily find snails on trees and rocks where they live.

They eat lettuces and carrot and banana because it's juicy and so yummy.

The playground is long and wide it's made of wood metal and plastic it look colourful . We can see black  grey blue and yellow

There are lots of things that we can play on on the playground on the park I like the flying fox we all have to sure it . It is so colourful and cool. I feel happy and it interesting

The kissing hand

Today I listened to the kissing hand this is the racoon one racoon is kissing the racoon and it was about a racoon the racoon is black and th e racoon tail is brown there eyes are black it was a fun story 

Feijoas

Today we got to look at the feijoas. They look fat. And green also rotten they are skinny and smooth. They feel hard and soft. Some feijoas feel squishy. The feijoas are sweet and nice. But when I taste it) it tastes sour and  nice. 

Slinky malinky

Today I listened to slinky malinky. This is the cat. The cat is black and she has yellow eyes. I like her because she is so beautiful and amazing and nice.

Puzzle-making

To make this puzzle I got one paper and draw want my puzzle will look like next I got sisser and cut it out to make it look like a puzzle after that I took a colour paper and draw the same picture again then I took a invlop and went back to class

Kazoo

On Monday in mr blakeys class we made kazoos we used scissors. Sellotape colourful paper two little rubber bands and a big one. First we cut the colourful paper out then we got the two Popsicle sick and we wrapped them around the sick with the Sellotape. Next we pulled out one of the Popsicle stick carefully. After that we stretched the big rubberband around the stick which was a little bit tricky. Then we put on the other Popsicle stick and wrapped two rubber around it. Finally we got to blow it.  It made weird sounded but it was amazing.

Picnic

 On Friday the 27of March it was the day of the picnic the first thing I did was I went  down to the beach to play with the clay. It was squishy and hard. After that I played on the park and I played on the exciting flying fox. I had a fun day at the picnic.   

Hokulea landing

Today we went to ptengland beach to see beautiful people from Hawaii and a beautiful waka. I saw fluffy clouds and wet grass and the trees were green. 

New motat

First my gourp look at the phone one thing  we learn that we can cell a country. Also we look at the fire engines my mum told us to work out what's new and olde. After that we went to mirror maze also a man help us in Feinstein we got lost then we had lunch I had fun.

At first I felt excited.  then we sing and dace.  at the end I felt happy because I was proud of my silfe. 

Leilani and the waka

Yesterday we powerfully padddled all the way to New Zealand and once when we arrived to New Zealand we excitedly saw land. that day was the best day of my life.

First we used hand sanitise.Secondly we put the toast in the toaster . Then we waited. Next the toast popped   out.  After that we spread the better on the toast . Then we spread the jam on the toast then we finally ate it. And it was yummy.
