Adding Decimals 1

Add the decimals and whole numbers to answer the questions below. Remember to show your working you can do this by writing it in the document or inserting a photo.

Question	Working and answer
0.3 + 0.6=	0.9
0.4 + 0.5=	0.9 , 0.4 + 0.5 = 0.9 , because 5 + 4 = 9. Then just do 0.9.
0.5 + 0.5=	1.0 , 0.5 + 0.5 = 1.0
0.6 + 0.4=	1.0 , 6 + 4 = 10. Which makes 1 whole.
0.7 + 0.2=	0. 9 , 7 + 2 = 9. So just make it into a decimal it is 0.9
0.4 + 0.4 =	0.8 , 4 x 2 = 8. The decimal is 0.8
0.3 + 0.2=	0.5 , 3 +2 = 5 - make that into a decimal 0.5
3.4 + 5.5=	8.9 , 3.4 + 5.0 = 8.4 , 8.4 + 0.5 = 8.9
9.4 + 3.4=	12.8 , 9. 4 + 3.0 = 12.4 , 12.4 + 0.4 = 12.8
6.8 + 5.1=	11.9 , 6.8 + 5.0 = 11 . 8 , 11.8 +0.1 = 11.9
3.3 + 2.1=	5.4 , 3.3 + 2.0 = 5.3 , 5.3 + 0.1 = 5.4
4.6 +2.4=	7.0 , 4.6 + 2.0 = 6.6 , 6.6 + 0.4 = 7.0
5.2 + 3.7=	8.9 , 5.2 + 3.0 = 8.2 , 8.2 + 0.7 = 8.9
4.1 +2.2=	6.3 , 4.1 + 2.0 = 6.1 , 6.1 + 0.2 = 6.3

0.5 + 0.5 =	1.0 , 5 + 5 = 10 , decimal version will be 1.0
1.4 + 0.8 =	2.2 , 1.0 + 0.8 = 1.8 , 1.8 + 0.4 = 2.2
2.6 + 0.5 =	3.1 , 2.0 + 0.5 = 2.5 , 2.5 + 0.6 = 3.1
1.5 + 1.7 =	3.2 , 1.5 + 1.0 = 2.5 , 2.5 + 0.7 = 32

Task description - Room 6 maths is learning how to do decimals. Miss Scanlan has already told us how to do decimals but we are just recaping. In this activity we had lots of questions to answer. It was difficult but it ended up to be easy. These decimals were so much fun.
