DAY 4: Making Promises
Activity 1: Campaigning for Conservation [4 points]
New Zealand is home to so many beautiful, unique and, sometimes, endangered animals and habitats. The Forest & Bird organisation is working really hard to protect vulnerable animals and places in NZ. They are doing everything that they can to raise money and to raise awareness so that everyone knows about these issues. These are called ‘campaigns.’ Check out the Forest & Bird campaigns site to learn more about them.
Imagine, that you have been hired by Forest & Bird New Zealand to work on one of their campaigns. It is your job to come up with a catchy slogan for the campaign. A slogan is a short phrase or sentence that is used to advertise something. Check out examples of common slogans and logos below.
On your blog, tell us which campaign you have chosen to support and provide us with a slogan for that campaign.

Task Description:
Hey there! Welcome back to another Summer Learning Journey activity. In today's task we had to choose either McDonald or Nike and create a reason why we choose that campaign. I made a google presentation and listed the reason why I choose the McDonald campaign! Hopefully you all enjoyed today's post and I will check in next time. Bye!
Question Of The Day: Did you know elephants are the only animal that can't jump?
Hello Leilani,
ReplyDeleteOnce again, I am blown away by your incredible work. I love how you have put in questions of the day, as I thought that elephants could jump. At least I learnt something other that was new. The activity had actually stated that you find a campaign from Forest & Bird and make a slogan for it. Maybe you can go and edit that later on. But on the other hand, well done for putting a lot of effort and reasoning, like it isn't healthy, but it is yummy.
What is your favourite fast food restaurant?

Hi Leilani,
ReplyDeleteIt's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. I'm afraid that Gargee is right, the idea of this activity was to choose a campaign from the Forest & Bird New Zealand organization and come up with a slogan for them.
You've done some real work on this so good for you, in that regard. For full points, however, you'd need to try this activity again...
You're doing a wonderful job overall, Leilani. I'm so glad that you're part of this SLJ program this year!!!
Cheers,
Leslie
